Riverside East Rotary Club

The Riverside East Rotary Club is made of men and women of a variety of backgrounds and professions who support community organizations through funds raised by the club. The club was the 23,000th club within Rotary International and was founded in 1987. Within District 5330 (generally Riverside and San Bernardino counties) the club is known for participation at the district level -- notably having Past District Governor Jeff Williams (DG 2002-2003) as a member. Old Farts Racing Team

The Old Farts Racing Team (OFRT) was formed in April 1993 when longtime friends Ron Speer and Dave Barnekow got together and thought “You know, we should form a group who share our interests in Hot Rods and Drag racing ...” The rest is history. It began as a loose-knit association, and has grown into a pivotal consortium involved in a number of worthy causes and charities.

Our sole purpose is to have old fashioned Drag Racing fun! You do not need a car to have fun; come along with someone who is participating, be a spectator, or build your own car. We have no club Officers, What we call meetings are actually probably better defined as "bull sessions," for lack of a better term.

We sponsor and/or are involved in a number of notable events each year in and around the Riverside, California vicinity. Most celebrated are Show & Go, OFRT Reunion, Route 66 Rendezvous, and the new effort Evergreen Cemetery fundraiser.
