Show and Go Car Show for Charity began in 1999 and has provided our community of car enthusiasts with twelve amazing car shows. The idea began with Riverside East Rotarian and Old Farts Racing Team Member Gary Echito. After many years of trying other fundraising activities, which were labor-some with unsatisfying results, Show and Go proved itself to be the most lucrative fundraiser for Riverside East Rotary Club since it’s inception, but furthermore for a cause of GOODWILL; To fulfill the needs of others.

Dear Friends, It is hard to believe that another year has passed and it is time for another successful Show & Go..!!! Some of you may be thinking that you are looking at the program from 2 years ago, since you see my picture again, but that is not the case. I am serving my 2nd term as President of Riverside East Rotary Club. Due to extenuating circumstances, I will be your host, once again. Each year brings new challenges to the event. As has been the case for many years now, the Riverside East / Old Farts Show & Go is the largest attended event, and Premier showcase of the city of Riverside. We continue to grow and prosper even through the trials and tribulations of the economic times. It seems that people want to take time out of there very busy lives and enjoy simple pleasures with fellow automobile enthusiasts. Even in these trying economic times, a day of fun at the Show & GO can't be beat..! Please take an extra few minutes out of your day at the show, and patronize the Vendors to show them your appreciation for their entrepreneurial spirit, that makes our country great. With the world in turmoil and change coming, whether we like it or not, it is time once again, to stand up and showcase the Very American institution of the CARSHOW..! Americans coming together, in the spirit of fun and camaraderie is as American as Apple Pie, Baseball, or the Beer Booth on 14th and Market..:-) By participating in our heritage as freedom loving citizens, we reinforce the values and commitments that have held us together for over 230 years. Let us not forget that as we enjoy our time in downtown Riverside, that many of our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, and family members are in harms way, protecting the rights and responsibilities that we are enjoying at this event. May they be on our minds every minute, and never far from our hearts...! So let's have a Safe and Fun Show & GO 2012, and let freedom RING..!
